The second ever Bass Day took over the Life Cafe in Manchester this Sunday for what can only be described as a low-end extravaganza.
Amongst lots of very impressive widdly bass playing, Lucy flew in hot off a Katie Melua gig in Germany and took over the stage to talk about her solid bass style and the realities of being a working bass player with references to her playing with Slovo and Glenn Tilbrook.
Live examples with Slovo loops and grooves with a live drummer kept the audience transfixed without a single 17/3 moment!
It was a great day with lots of amazing players in a very cool Manchester venue - if you do bass, stick it in your diary for 2007. We'll be there!
